Can't get started

I am trying to get started with Shipping Easy and finding it difficult. I am signed up for less than 50 packages per month and would like to try it out to see if it works for my business. The message I receive is that I am disconnected and "You have reached the number of stores available to your current subscription." I only have the one store. Help?

Hi Keith - Thanks for posting to our forums!

The message you see indicated that you cannot connect another store unless you upgrade your plan. Learn more. If you want to connect multiples stores with ShippingEasy, I recommend looking into this.

While on your STORES & ORDERS page, I also noticed that your Ecwid store has been disconnected. Until that is resolved, your orders will not be able to sync. Fortunately, reconnecting is straight forward.

  1. Go to SETTINGS >> STORES & ORDERS.
  2. Next to your Ecwid store, click the green Re-connect button.
  3. Verify that your Store ID is correct and enter your API Secret Key. You can find steps for finding each of these in our integration guide.
  4. Click Save and your store should be reconnected.

Unfortunately orders placed before the store is reconnected will not sync. For these, we recommend that you add them into ShippingEasy manually. Learn more.

Jennifer-

  1. I am only trying to connect one store, not "another store." Just to confirm, I am allowed one store?

  2. When I try the steps you gave me it says I was successful and then disconnected.

I really think your software would help our company but cannot figure out why I can not try it out.

Best,

Hello Keith - Great questions!

I believe that you're referring to this on the STORES & ORDERS page:

Store Limit Reached

You have reached the number of stores available to your current subscription. To add more stores, upgrade your account.

This means that you cannot add an additional store. Even though your Ecwid store is disconnect right now, it counts as one of your stores. Though, the message is not at all related to your disconnected Ecwid store.

In other words, the Starter plan includes 1 manual orders store and 1 integrated store. Right now, you have an Ecwid store tethered to your integration port.

Regarding reconnecting your Ecwid store, I believe the problem is in the integration credentials that you have provided. In the place of the Store ID you have submitted an email address. However, this should be a numeric code provided by Ecwid.

Would you walk through our integration guide one more time? Step #4 shows where to locate the Store ID. Then Steps #6-9 show where to locate the API Secret Key. Once we have the correct credentials saved to ShippingEasy, your store should reconnect.
