UPS Rate Changes - December 27, 2022 | Overview
The start of a new year typically signals a change in rates across all postal carriers in the United States, as well as the addition or removal of services from their options.
An increase in UPS rates and service charges goes into effect on December 27, 2022. These increases affect a number of UPS services, with UPS® Ground, UPS Air and 3-Day services increasing an average of 6.9% and almost all common surcharges will be increasing as well.
2023 will also see a change in the list of ZIP codes aligned to certain zones. In addition, the Peak/Demand Surcharges will be renamed Demand Surcharges.

UPS rate and service changes go into effect on December 27, 2022.

The rates for UPS® Ground, UPS Air and 3-Day services will increase an average net 6.9%

The Ground minimum package charge (1 pound, zone 2) will increase to $10.10, an increase of 7.9%

Here is a brief summary of what's changing for ShippingEasy subscribers who have connected their UPS account with ShippingEasy:
The rates for UPS® Ground, UPS Air and 3-Day services will increase an average net 6.9%. The UPS® Ground minimum package charge (1 pound, Zone 2) will increase to $10.10, a 7.9% increase.
The rates for most common surcharges will increase. Peak/Demand Surcharges will be referred to as Demand Surcharges.
The list of ZIP codes aligned to certain zones will change.

Details have not been announced but shippers should be aware that UPS can make changes to zone alignment which will impact pricing.
