Hello Dennis - Thanks for posting to our forum!

If using a Zebra printer with ConnectEasy there are two likely causes of this.

  1. ConnectEasy needs to be configured with your label dimensions (only for Macs).
  2. The Zebra printer needs to be configured with your label dimensions (for Macs or Windows)

If using a Mac, your ConnectEasy printer settings may be updated to specific the label dimensions.

Note: this option is only available on ConnectEasy v4.5.5 or later. Find out which version you're running.

  1. From your toolbar, open the ConnectEasy client.
  2. Once in the client, click on the Printers tab. This will display a list of printers that are recognized by ConnectEasy.
  3. To the right of each printer are fields to enter height and width dimensions. Click in the cell and type to specify a dimension. The changes will automatically save.
    • Note: these settings only work if the printer is attached to the computer on which ConnectEasy is installed. Networked printers will not recognize this setting.
  4. Return to ShippingEasy and try printing your document again.

If results are not improved, please try inverting the dimensions (swap the height for width).

We illustrate these steps in this article:

Again, if there is not improvement, please try the next option.

If using Windows or Mac, your Zebra printer preferences may be configured with the label height and width dimensions inverted.

In other words, for your ShippingEasy label selection (SETTINGS >> LABELS):

We recommend setting the following Stock dimensions:

Label Width: 4 inches
Label Height: 6 inches

To update your Zebra Stock settings on a Windows PC:

  1. Go to the START menu and click on DEVICES AND PRINTERS.
  2. Right-click the Zebra 450 and go to Printing preferences.
  3. Select the Stocks tab and then click the grey New... button. This allows you to enter different custom options for your label.
  4. Name this stock (ex: "4x6").
  5. Under "Options", change Darkness to 13 and Speed to 2. These are the best settings for a clear label.
  6. Under "Dimensions", set the Label Width to 4 inches and the Label Height to 6 inches.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Within the Printing Preferences dialog, select the Options tab.
  9. Expand the Stocks menu and select the stock you just saved.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Reprint your label from ShippingEasy to see the results.

I hope this helps! Please leave a comment if you still experience problems with your label formats after making these adjustments.
