How to make smaller labels with ShippingEasy...

I have a regular shipment that is smaller than 4"x5"

How can I get Shipping Easy to make a smaller label so that it will fit the box? Thanks!

Hi there,

Great question!

Unfortunately, the option to select a label size smaller than 4x5 is not currently available in ShippingEasy. However, I strongly suggest you place a feature request for your suggestion. This is how we monitor interest in changes to the app. These forums are regularly reviewed by our Product Manager and CEO. Also, posting in the forum will allow you to be notified when this change is released. Here is how to post a feature request.

The smallest label option ShippingEasy provides is 4x5". If you would like to select this option, you just need to apply new label size settings.

Here is how to apply this label size.

Keep in mind that this label size setting will only apply to new labels you purchase. If you purchased labels before selecting this size option, they will still reprint with your previous label size settings. In this case, you would need to cancel, duplicate, and rebuy the label (if applicable).

Taylor, is there a way for me to hand-address the box and only apply the endicia portion of the postage to the box?

In other words, would it still arrive at the destination if I don't include the large USPS bar code?

Hi again,

We do not recommend using the address only portion. The bar code is important for USPS to track their packages, as it is the package "identifier". We can't guarantee that it will be accepted or shipped correctly if this is removed.

You could try is scaling down the label to only print at a smaller percentage of the total label. You can do this by reviewing your printer settings, or Adobe Reader settings. Here is some information on scaling from Adobe: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/scale-or-resize-printed-pages.html

Something to note: Making any modifications to the original label will risk your package being lost or undeliverable. We cannot guarantee USPS will process this correctly if you make changes.
