Save my Shipping Labels Settings | How To
We have made label options a cinch with ShippingEasy - just set it and forget it! Once you have selected your preferences, you will never have to make a change again, unless your label/paper type or printer changes down the road.
To navigate to your shipping labels settings:
- Navigate to the SETTINGS icon from anywhere in your account.
- Select LABELS from under LABEL SIZES & PRINTING OPTIONS.
Understanding your label options:
The LABELS settings page has three sections:
- Print My Labels by: determines the sequence in which your labels print.
- Domestic Label Output Format: the paper size and format to which your domestic labels print.
- International Label Output Format: the paper size and format to which your international labels print.
Expand the following sections for details on setting up each section.
Print My Labels by (sequence)
The Print My Labels by setting determines the order in which labels and packing slips print.
There are several options to choose from:
- Order number sequence: labels and packing slips will print in alphanumeric order, from the highest to lowest (Z to A, 9-0). Examples: 6659 is sorted before 100554. SE117 is sorted before AB42222.
- Order selection sequence: labels and packing slips will print in the order they are selected and sent from the ORDERS page to the READY TO SHIP page.
- Item SKU (A-Z) Sequence: labels and packing slips will print in the order of the Item SKUs, sorted alphanumerically from A to Z, 0-9.
- Item Description (A-Z) Sequence: labels and packing slips will print in the order of the Item Descriptions, sorted alphabetically from A to Z.
- Warehouse Bin (A-Z) Sequence: labels and packing slips will print in ascending, alphanumeric order (lowest to highest). For multi-product orders, the first product in the order determines where the order is placed in the sequence.
To set up your account's label and packing slip print sequence:
- Expand the Print My Labels by menu and select the sequence option you prefer.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the blue Save button.
Domestic Label Output Format
The "Domestic Label Output Format" setting determines the label size and format used for your domestic shipping labels.
Multiple formats are available for each domestic label size. However, some sizes may only be used for specific carriers:
- 4" x 6": supported by all carriers
- 4" x 5": only supported for USPS domestic labels
- 4" x 8": only supported for USPS domestic labels
To set up your login's domestic label output format:
- From the Default label size option menu, select the label size that matches your labels, or fits your paper, as well as the carrier(s) that you will ship through.
- Once label size has been selected, several supported format options will be displayed. Each option is represented with an image, a description, and a list of suggested formatted paper types. Learn more about the available label formats.
- Test how any format will print to your printer by selecting Test Print Settings.
- Click on an image to select the label format. The labels that you have selected will be highlighted with a blue background.
- Selecting the image will automatically update your label preferences. This is noted with a blue dialog box that appears at the top of the screen: "Label settings updated."
- If you are shipping via USPS, there are additional options to customize your domestic labels. These are listed in the "Domestic USPS Labels Option" section. Each of these label options will update the order information displayed on your shipping label:
- Order Number (default)
- List Order Items (SKU)
- List Order Items (Item Name)
- Carrier Note
- Your logo
Learn more about customizing USPS labels.
Any changes made to the"Domestic USPS Labels Option" section will need to be saved. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the blue Save button.

my labels are printing on 4x6 but the end result is the size of a postage stamp on a 4x6 label????
Hi Bill - Thanks for posting this! I wanted to share a link to our response in the Community forum: https://support.shippingeasy.com/hc/communities/public/questions/201625629
FOR MAC OX USERS:
Finally figured this out. It is very important that the knowledge base reflect the fact that you are UNABLE to reprint labels on the Dymo 4XL (at least with MAC OS). The initial printing of the labels works perfect, but if you have to reprint, you best cancel the label, and re-enter it. READ ON...
The original label will be generated in portrait, allowing your printed label to print perfectly. This is true for both USPS and FedEx (not sure about any of the others). If the need for any reprint arrises - FORGET ABOUT IT, any and all reprinted labels will be generated in LANDSCAPE instead of portrait, and therefore can't be printed correctly. If you try doing so, you will get half the label. From what I can see, there is absolutely no way to change the orientation of a label that is to be reprinted from Landscape to Portrait.
I also had to set up under printer selection the use of .pdf instead of direct print through connect easy. In order for me to use my Dymo 4XL I must have the labels generated on my browser in .pdf, then print them using the print command of my browser (Safari). I also had to set up the printer out put settings to 4 x 6. On my computer I was able to save the proper 4 x 6 format as the default paper size.
At this point, I do not think that Connect Easy is the way to go if you are using a Mac OS. Everything is working now, and after almost a complete roll of labels, I am done experimenting.
Hi there,
Thanks so much for this feedback. We are not aware of this being an issue as we have not heard this from other shippers, and would like to assist you in resolving the matter. This does sound like a setting issue, so it may be best for you to reach out to us via phone so that we can take a look and possibly do a screen share.
Are you noticing this occurring with domestic labels only? I see that you currently have your International labels set to 8.5 x 11 and your domestic labels set to 4 x 6, so I just wanted to be sure. Please note that PDFs use completely different settings than ConnectEasy. PDFs use browser information, PDF reader information, computer information, etc. and use that to apply any changes to your prints while the ConnectEasy applet usually just takes the information from your computer itself, combined with the ShippingEasy templates and sometimes browser settings.
You say that you are done troubleshooting - and I completely understand why! - however, if you are willing to continue to troubleshoot at any time, I have a few things I'd like you to try:
NOTE: We will want to create a new label to test with the proper settings (4x6), print it, and then reprint it. The reason being is that any settings changed within ShippingEasy, such as label format, is not retroactive.
I hope this helps!
Shipping easy response is BS. This is almost the same issue I described that is occurring the windows platform too.. Direct printing of a label when you try to "reprint" it doesn't work... If your try to direct print a label from shipping history you get a sideways label that doesn't print correctly on the dymo 4xl printer. Been saying this forever... The I ky way to reprint a label is with the pdf label option only. I've contacted support about this before and get a (oh you're a free user and we can't helping response). Even though your software is buggy.... Sorry if you detect a note of sarcasm and frustration but youndefinstely earned it.
Hi Bill - I understand that we've had a chance to speak with you about the reprint issues you've been encountering. We're currently working with PrintNode, the team that developed the ConnectEasy software, to identify and correct the bug that is preventing you from reprinting your USPS labels.
Regarding the support that we offer our accounts, we understand the importance of having someone to reach out to. However, we hope that our customers can understand that customer service has an inherent cost - and if someone is not paying a subscription for our service - then it's not possible to provide the same kind of personalized support as can be provided to a customer that is paying a monthly subscription fee.
I've just setup an account with you to try instead of ShipStation and after an hour on the phone and over 100 labels am experiencing the EXACT same problem with OS X. I've tried it on one Mac running Maverick and another running Yosemite. Both have the latest drivers. I can get it to work with your same panel (after much fussing about) but the printing via the cloud provider "ConnectEasy" gets the labels all sideways and useless. My only difference, is that I can't even get the first label to print correctly.
Hi Sean - I'm so sorry to hear about this difficulty!
I'm assuming that you've updated your paper size? And that you've also downloaded this version of the Yosemite driver?
We've also just released a new version of ConnectEasy. You can download it from the ShippingEasy app by going to SETTINGS >> CONNECTEASY. It contains some specific fixes for Macs and may resolve your problems.

Would you let me know if updating ConnectEasy helps?
Hi, I need to be able to print two lables per sheet. I saw the instructions on how to do this but because I am signed up through storenvy I cant log into the normal shippingeasy website to follow the instructions...there is no "settings" tab for me. It isn't recognizing any of my passwords to log in because I am signed up through storenvy.

Hi Therissa,
Sorry for the delayed response!
Since you are using ShippingEasy via Storenvy, you should follow the guidelines for EasyShip. The following article should have what you are looking for:
