PAY PAL ORDERS COME INTO MAGENTO AS PROCESSING.
THEY ARE SENT DIRECT TO SHIPPING EASY.
THIS IS NOT CORRECT. CAN WE CHANGE TO NOT BE SENT UNTIL ORDER IS LOOKED AT.

Hi Stewart,

Thanks for posting this request! I've forwarded this request to our Product Team. Given that this may be a configuration issue, I do have a couple of suggestions. Per this support article, ShippingEasy brings in only the orders that you have assigned as "Syncable" into ShippingEasy. That said, you have a couple of places where you could make a change to what syncs into ShippingEasy:

  1. Unselect "Processing" as a status that syncs into ShippingEasy. Note: this can be done in Settings > Stores and Orders > Click "Edit Store Settings" for your Magento store (as seen in the article above).

  2. You can change the status mappings in your Magento store so that "Processing" no longer maps to the Status Code associated with your PayPal order when first placed.

I think the first would be the easier option for you and would help with your issue.

by unselecting that nothing would come over.

Hi Stewart,

Thanks for that info. That's probably not what we want then. I do have a few other suggestions that may work for you:

  1. You may be able to change your settings so that Paypal orders don't come into Magento as processing. This would likely require your developer to take a look at the issue.
  2. You can create a rule to categorize in a certain color for orders that aren't ready to ship. For example: "If SKU 123 is in the order then categorize as yellow". You can learn more about creating rules here: How to create a shipping rule. More specifically, you may want to follow this article to create the category rule mentioned above: Best of Rules: Categorize orders containing specific products for faster batching.
  3. You can also disable automatic syncing. This will allow for more control in what orders come in. You could change the statuses of your Paypal orders to something that ShippingEasy does not support and then click Sync. That way, the orders with unsupported status types won't come in.

I hope this is helpful!

Hi Stewart - If you like the idea of creating a Shipping Rule, I just wanted to mention that you can use the order number as a condition to flag the orders. Magento often uses unique order numbers, such as 100012345. So you could create a rule such as:

IF: Order number | does not start with | 1000

THEN: Assign to category | PayPal

Hi Stewart,

If you want to change your process so that Paypal orders don't come into Magento as processing, you'll need to reach out to Magento or have your developer reach out to them. If however, you are looking to set up rules, please feel free to follow the articles below or give us a call at your earliest convenience.
