External Notes for Shipments

Can we have a place to add external notes for shipments? Something that will show when a customer gets the shipment email? This way the customer can see that we acknowledged their 'leave by the front door' request, or that we noted 'shipment 1 of 2'.

 

We also ship B2B, and some businesses want cartons to have SSCC numbers or other identifiers. It would be nice to be able to include this.

Thank you for your request. We have a couple ways that can help with this:

Notes from Store: There are three types of order notes in ShippingEasy: Customer Comment, Internal Order Notes, and Gift Message. You can add these on the Orders page, learn more HERE. These can all be added to your packing slips and shipping confirmation emails. learn  You could use the "internal order notes" in this instance. 

Custom Fields: We recently added on custom fields and you can add these on the Edit Orders page. You can add them to your packing slips and shipping confirmation emails. Click HERE to learn more.
