shipping to canda

Hi.  I printed out a label to ship to canada for the first time.  The left side has a small customs form.  Three questions:

- does that stay attached to label and get taped to the outside of the package?

- do I need to sign the bottom of it where it says signature/date?

-  It is going out first class international package.  can I use my own packaging without any special international indicators on it - other than the label with the customs form?

Hello Yvonne, and thank you for posting to our community.

Since you are shipping to Canada, the label and customs form you received are considered to be a complete international label. The small customs form to the left of the label, should remain attached, and both customs form and label would need to be affixed to the outside of your package.

This link will explain more about USPS International shipments and the customs forms.

We would also recommend that you do sign and date the customs form to certify the customs declaration is correct. The article link below explains more and also how you can enable an automatic digital signature with your ShippingEasy account.

Do I need to sign my customs forms by hand?

Since your package is being sent First Class, you can use your own packaging without any other international indicators on it besides the label with customs form attached. You can view the next link below for more information regarding the options you have for international shipping.

Thank you and happy shipping!
