Light Shipments Postal Rates from Newbie

Hello,

I am in middle of evaluating companies to change to for inventory management and shipping. I had a brief walk through of Shipping Easy and it does appear to be a solid program. I have two questions for other users:

1. Do the online shopping markets like Amazon, Etsy, and Ebay let you use another shipping company? I saw someone say that ebay still charges them a fee.

2. Are the postal rates competitive? We have a lot of small items and we usually pay $1.66 for them. It appears that the lowest rate is $2.66 which is a massive increase.
