Mark Orders in my Store as Shipped on the Selected Ship Date

We recently updated the timing of ShippingEasy's confirmation emails, which are now sent out on the selected ship date.  However, we've received feedback that some businesses prefer to use their store's confirmation emails instead.  For these shop owners, their confirmation emails are sent out as soon as their orders' status' is marked as 'Shipped' (or the comparable status).  In this situation, an update of an orders' status would need to be delayed until the ship date in order to trigger the confirmation email on the actual ship date. 

At this time, we need to gauge how much interest there is in this feature before we proceed further.  So, please leave a comment below explaining how this would help your business.

I prefer to use the Shopify order confirmation emails because I can include custom variables for the customer that aren't possible with Shipping Easy. I also typically prepare shipments over the weekend, so I don't want the user to wait up to up to 72 hours to see a shipping status. This feature would solve my problem. Thanks!

How about two conformations. One that says your shipment has been scheduled to ship out ___ date. Then another with the tracking number that says your order has been shipped.

Is this in the pipeline? I generally print labels 2-3 days before items ship. Delaying the Shopify mark shipped and fulfillment notification would avoid a lot of customer confusion. Thank you! -Greg

My issue is that I am generating a shipping label say today and my vendor is shipping the product in about a week from today.

I use Shopify and in their system when I generate the shipping (actual date of shipping) label it notifies my customer that the product is shipped. So that is why I need all labels USPS, UPS or FEDEX) to be able to be dated at a future date .

Great news! When post dating labels in our system, you can now delay the update back to your store until the date of the post date.
