Add Internal Notes to Shipment History page

We have just started using the "add notes" feature on the Orders page which creates internal notes for anyone logged in to our account to check what's going on with a particular order; would it be possible to add this same feature to the Shipment History page so that we can add notes to an order about a shipment status or change after the label has been created?

Hi Lash - We have a long standing request that's very similar. If you have a few extra minutes, would you add your thoughts this thread? Keeping the discussion in a single thread helps us more easily identify ideas that are of greater interest to our customers.

Great suggestion! I can certainly see how this could be useful! I've forwarded this to our product team. In the meantime, if you do ever need to edit a shipment or label, you can always cancel the label and then duplicate the label. This won't allow you to add notes to the order, but if you need to change the date an order is shipped, addresses, weights, or anything else pertaining to the shipment, you can do so by following this article: How to edit a label.

If you simply are not ready to send the shipment, while you can't send the order back to the orders page, you can always cancel the label in the Shipping History page and create a manual order, creating a shipment when ready. I understand that this is not what you're asking for but hoping that it will be somewhat useful in the meantime. I hope it helps!
