Existing Endicia Account Accesss

Hi, We have an existing Endicia account. Can we use it or do we need to use the account shipping easy provides? Also, when I try to connect to my Endicia account, via settings/postage and carriers, all I get is a USPS page asking for a credit card #. Is this correct or is not the "select my carrier"  window available during my free trial period.

Thanks for any insight you can provide,

Jason

Hello Jason, and thank you for posting to our community.

Unfortunately, as of October 4, 2017, ShippingEasy no longer supports using an Endicia account created outside of ShippingEasy. This occurred when we converted our two Endicia account system to the single Endicia account.

At this point you will need to register for a new Endicia account, using the steps in the link below.

We do apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you and happy shipping!

I'm confused, as your reply directly contradicts the FAQ regarding existing Endicia accounts:

Will my existing Endicia account that I added to ShippingEasy be closed?

No. If you created an Endicia account outside of ShippingEasy and then used that account in ShippingEasy, ShippingEasy will not close that Endicia account. That account will, however, no longer be available to use in ShippingEasy.

For those of us who use Endicia outside of ShippingEasy, can you clarify whether ShippingEasy will, or will not, automatically close our pre-existing Endicia account, that is currently used for First Class postage?

When our ShippingEasy account was created several years ago, our existing Endicia account was linked for First Class postage and a 2nd Endicia account was opened for Priority & Expedited Shipping.

Can we simply unlink the pre-existing Endicia account from our ShippingEasy account, leaving the Priority & Expedited Endicia account in place for all postage?

Hello Dale, and thank you for posting to our community.

ShippingEasy will not close your personal Endicia accounts created outside of ShippingEasy. However, those accounts will no longer be available for use within ShippingEasy.

If you prefer, you can disconnect your personal Endicia account from ShippingEasy, before the last day of the month, using the steps in the link below. Please keep in mind that you will not have access to First Class postage if you decide to disconnect your personal Endicia account before the end of the month, without converting your Endicia accounts.

In other words, if you disconnect your First Class account, make sure to go ahead and convert your Endicia accounts using the steps under the section "What do I need to do?" within the link below, so you still have access to First Class postage.

We attempted to disconnect our pre-existing Endicia account for First Class Domestic postage before converting and the red "Disconnect" box is not available as described in the instructions above.

Clicking "Manage Account" does not offer an option to disconnect the account.

Hello Dale, unfortunately the disconnect option was removed from the user interface due to confusion over the migration options.

I have, however, disconnected your First Class Endicia account for you, from our back end.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you.
