Charged twice for fedex shipment

On May 3rd, after I integrated myFedEx account with SHipping Easy, I was billed $29.21 for an overnight small package. THEN, FedEX billed me separately, $65 for the very same package on my credit card! Any way you can fix that double billing, since there seems to be a snafu with your software? Or at least explain what happened?

Hello Meike - Thanks for posting today!

I'm sorry for any confusion caused by the FedEx invoice you received. You are using multiple carriers to purchase labels on ShippingEasy, including USPS and FedEx.

Your Endicia accounts are used only to pay for USPS postage, which sounds like the postage you used with the $29.21 label you mentioned. When you purchase a FedEx label, you will see a quote for FedEx postage and you can opt to buy the postage. However, you do not pay for the FedEx postage when you print the FedEx label. Rather, FedEx will invoice you for used postage. The same will apply to UPS labels.

We have more information in this article:

Please post in the comments below if I can help to clarify further. Thanks!

So, you "quoted" me $29.21, then FedEx billed me $65???? how does that happen?

That $29 is the line item amount in my shipping history.

The cost difference isn't cool, that more than double what you "quoted"

I am not seeing where it tracks the balance of the account, is there a link I am missing? FOr daily debits on the Endicia balance?

WHy would the $29.21 show up next to the package I shipped via FedEx on my shipping history?

Hello Meike, and thank you for your responses.

The Shipment History column $Shipping displays the entire FedEx rate quote for fees+ postage combined. If that does not match what you are billed by FedEx, we would recommend entering the shipment into your FedEx account to see if the rate there matches ShippingEasy.

If it does not match, it is possible your FedEx negotiated rates are not transmitting to ShippingEasy. In which case, we would recommend you disconnect your FedEx account using the Red X button to the right of the account, and then reconnect your FedEx account, using the step-by-step instructions in the link below.

How to: Connect a FedEx account with ShippingEasy

If, however, the rate quote in your FedEx account matches the one from ShippingEasy, we would recommend reaching out to FedEx to see why they are billing you more for that shipment.

To view your Endicia transaction history, you will need to log in and access your reports options, using the step-by-step instructions in the link below.

Thank you.
