Assign Ship From Addresses | Guide
Ship From addresses are saved within your SHIP FROM ADDRESSES account settings. ShippingEasy is a database for all your Ship From addresses, which you can assign to your stores and orders. This opens many possibilities, including multiple warehouses managing products for specific stores. Learn more about adding, editing, and managing your Ship From addresses in your ShippingEasy settings.
Once saved, Ship From addresses can be assigned in one of five ways:
Override Your Account's Default Ship From Address
Addresses are applied in the following order:
Account default --> Store default --> Shipping Rule --> User Profile --> Manual Override
If your account's default address (in your SHIP FROM ADDRESSES settings) is the only address configured, then this address will be used for all stores and orders.
Your store's default address, assigned in your STORES & ORDERS settings, will override the account default address.
If you use a Shipping Rule to assign an address, this address will take precedence.
If you assign an address to a specific user profile, this address will take precedence.
Any automatically assigned Ship From address can be manually overridden from the Order Details slide out.

Legacy View
The SHIP FROM ADDRESSES setting was previously titled STORE ADDRESSES in ShippingEasy. The setting can still be found under ACCOUNT SETTINGS.
You can designate a default Ship From address for all stores and orders in your SHIP FROM ADDRESSES settings. When you add a new store to your ShippingEasy account, the default Ship From address will automatically be assigned to the store and the Rate Calculator. The address with the star icon is your default account address. This address will be the Ship From address for all your stores and orders.
Each store can be assigned a default Ship From address within your STORES & ORDERS settings.
To assign a Ship From address to your store in ShippingEasy:
-
Click the Edit store settings link for the store you want to update.
-
Go to the Store Info tab, and select your desired address from the Shipping Address drop-down menu.
This menu contains all your addresses saved in your SHIP FROM ADDRESSES settings.
-
Click the Save button.
You're done! New orders from this store will now default to the updated Ship From address.
Shipping Rules allow you to assign a Ship From address based on certain variables. If an order meets the criteria of the Shipping Rule, the address set by the rule will override both your account default address and store address. Learn more about Shipping Rules.
Individual vs. Multiple User Logins
Using a Shipping Rule to assign your Ship From address is a great time-saving option if you only have one user login and multiple locations or if you contract with a drop shipper.
If you have multiple user logins, we recommend assigning a Ship From address per-user.
To assign a Ship From address via a Shipping Rule:
-
Enter a title that describes the rule in the Rule name field, such as "Warehouse 1."
-
Set the IF condition to the variable that defines which address you would use.
For example, you have multiple products shipped from different warehouses. We will use the SKU as the condition to assign the Ship From address:
-
Set the THEN action to assign your Ship From address to orders meeting the IF criteria.
-
Click Save Rule.
The Ship From address will now be assigned to new orders based on the specified IF condition.
Individual user logins can each have unique Ship From addresses assigned. Having multiple locations helps you automatically assign the correct warehouse based on who is shipping the package.
Addresses can be assigned per user in two ways:
-
Admin users can assign the default Ship From address for each user.
-
Individual users can set the default Ship From address for their specific user login.
