Have control over when your future dated email confirmations are sent

ShippingEasy Update: This is a duplicate. Please see this alternate thread.

I don't see why if you create a future dated shipping label it doesn't send until 24 hours after it. I sometimes create labels at night and prep my packages for the next day.

They are then ready to ship first thing in the morning but my customers won't get an email until later the next night. This makes it look like I missed an entire day to ship their product. Its terrible for business

Hi Matthew and Debbie,

This is a great suggestion. The reason we currently wait to email your customers is because we do not want to confuse your customers that an order is being shipped early. The emails typically include tracking and if the tracking has no movement yet (which it would not if it has not yet been shipped), it can worry our shipper's customers.

That said, I can forward your request. In this case, I think it would be a good idea to do what we recently implemented for uploading tracking for post-dated labels. This feature includes the option to delay tracking updating to the store until the order is shipped. You can find this option in your store. Does this sound like something you would like?

This is what the feature currently looks like for post-dated labels and tracking updates.

We have another similar thread running HERE. As this is a duplicate thread, I would like to direct you to post comment, follow, and like there so that our CEO/Product Team can see everyone's interest in one thread (this is more likely to get a request traction).

YES! I've complained about this multiple times! I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who has problems with it. I've ended up having to print labels after midnight just to avoid this issue, which should be a simple one to fix.

I have the confusion issue taken care of by having my notice worded that the shipment has been "prepared" for shipment.

Debbie,

That's a good workaround. Thanks for sharing the idea!
