Pull Orders Via Tags

0

Other programs I've used like ShipStation allows me to pull only certain orders based upon the tags in the customer store.

For example customer has 3 products they sell. 2 are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer but product C needs to be fulfilled by me. So I tell my system to pull pull orders with the Tag called Product C.

This way I dont get the orders in my system that do not need to be fulfilled. Makes life much easier!

Hi Jason,

Thanks for this feedback! It sounds like you are wanting to create your own customizable statuses that ShippingEasy pulls in, but based on tags - what a cool idea!. I'll make sure to forward this request to my Product Team. However, along the lines of tags, I know that we do have this thread that you may be interested in as well: Add tags to orders within ShippingEasy.

Alternatively, I have a few other suggestions:

1) Using rules, you can flag your orders that need splitting, split them, and then mark the ones that don't need to be fulfilled by you as shipped.

  • You can utilize rules to flag orders with specific details.
If you have any kind of pattern with orders that are drop shipped versus orders that are fulfilled by you, you can definitely use this feature!

  • Once the order is flagged, you can split the order based on what needs to be shipped by you and by the drop shipper.

  • For orders that are drop shipped, you can mark as shipped.

2) Additionally, I see that you use Shopify. I've not tried this before, but have you tried splitting the order in Shopify and then marking those that need to be drop shipped in a status other than "Unfulfilled"? ShippingEasy brings in the following statuses from Shopify currently: Paid and Unfulfilled or
Unpaid and Unfulfilled

I hope this is somewhat helpful!

Hi Jason,

If you're interested in Rachael's second suggestion, I also recommend turning off Automatic order downloads in ShippingEasy.

By default, ShippingEasy will automatically download any Unfulfilled Shopify orders within an hour of them being placed. Though, if you have plans to manage their statuses in Shopify to control how they sync, then you'll want more control over when they sync, too.

These are all client's shopify stores so I dont have much control over what happens inside those. I think what you guys are proposing will work as a hack moving forward but it'd be really cool if that feature could be implemented at some point.

Totally understand, Jason. :) I understand your need for this so we've made sure that our Product Team is aware. Glad we were able to at least temporarily assist.

Hello Jason,

I just wanted to let you know that we now support product tags and order tags! You can set orders that contain a specific order tag or product tag to be cleared.

You can set an order tag via a Shipping Rule, and your can set Product Tags via the product catalog.

Please let us know if you'd like to review the implemtnation of these tags. Don't hesitate to reach out!
