How To Display Shipping for Customers on a WooCommerce Site?

(If this question has been answered elsewhere, I would appreciate you sharing a link.)

I would like to use ShippingEasy for my WordPress website using WooCommerce. I understand generally how ShippingEasy works, but I don't know how to display dynamic shipping for customers making purchases on my site. I know there are plugins for this, but how do I know that the estimates will accurately reflect the rate I'm actually paying through ShippingEasy? I only use USPS for shipping!

I would GREATLY appreciate any recommendations of specific plugins/solutions to:
1) provide USPS shipping rates to customers on the checkout page of my WooCommerce site
2) charge for the shipping option selected by the customer along with the checkout
3) ideally, have the rates match up with my ShippingEasy rates so I'm not over- or undercharging them

Thank you so much,
Chloe

Hi Chloe - Thanks for posting to our forums!

Provide USPS shipping rates to customers on the checkout page of my WooCommerce site

We've had another thread in our forums that is very similar, I recommend checking it out to answer your first question:

In that thread, we suggest some plugins that can be used to display rates for the front end of your store. I believe that Stamps.com provides the API to make those rates available. ShippingEasy and Stamps both provide access to USPS Commercial Base Pricing, which are likely the rates available through the plugin

Charge for the shipping option selected by the customer along with the checkout

I think that the plugins discussed in the link above will allow you to charge the customer for the shipping option selected. However, it would be best to confirm that with the plugin developers and/or WooCommerce.

Within ShippingEasy, if there is a requested service assigned to the order, we will sync and display that information with your orders. We explain more in our WooCommerce FAQs:

There are neat ways to use this. For instance you can automatically assign a carrier and service to your orders based on the requested service:

Ideally, have the rates match up with my ShippingEasy rates so I'm not over- or undercharging them

If you set up the plugin, you can compare the rates with ShippingEasy's rate tables (click through the CBP/Commercial Base tables):

More than likely, the rates will match within a couple cents. Both ShippingEasy and the plugin developers would have access to the same Commercial Base rates from USPS.
