Postage deducted twice, "Label Failed" message.

Tried to print a Priority Mail label this morning.  System deducted $5.75 from my Indicia account, then kicked back a "Label Failed" message. Hit "Retry", and was charged ANOTHER $5.75 and got ANOTHER "Label Failed" message.  I'm out $11.50 and have no label.  Would like to know how to get credited for the unprinted labels.

Hi Jeff,
So sorry about that! Our label partner Endicia was dealing with network issues on that day, which is why you saw the duplicate charges. This is a rare occurrence - I'm sorry to hear this impacted your account. We run reports daily to catch these random charges. I'm happy to report that your failed labels were included in the report. You can confirm the refund requests by following these steps.
For security purposes, we prefer not to post account-specific information on the public forums. However, we do have a contact email designated to these types of Endicia questions: endicia.account@shippingeasy.com if you would like more information about your specific account.
Warm regards,

My account was deducted $4.02 twice and I only printed ONE label and needed just ONE shipment.  It seems as if there may have been a label sitting in queue for a long time, but I did not print a second label.  When I go back to look at the Shipment History, it only shows the ONE label that is correct that I printed, but total for shipping today (1/17/18) is $8.04.  The ONE correct label that I printed was $4.02.  Will I be refunded my money?

Hi Nicole,

Thank you for posting to our forum!

I took a look at your account and Endicia transactions and found 2 labels printed on 1/18 for $4.02 each.  The corresponding order numbers are M-011718-001 and  M-111217-004.  Order M-111217-004 was created on November 12 but a label was generated for it on January 18.  If you filter your Shipment History for 90 days under "In the last" filter, you should see it there.

You can also view your Endicia transaction history by logging into endicia.com by following the steps here:  How to: Obtain my Endicia refund and transaction history

If you do not need one of the labels that was generated on 1/18 then please follow these steps to cancel the corresponding label for a refund:  How to: Cancel a label for a refund

As for the timeline of a refund for USPS postage:

When you cancel a label in ShippingEasy that was generated through Endicia, a refund is automatically requested. However, it can take a couple of weeks to process the refund. Once approved, your refund(s) will be automatically deposited into your postage balance.

USPS requires 10 business days to process the postage refund on their end, as they need to ensure that the tracking number for the cancelled label doesn't subsequently show up in the mail stream. So, Endicia will wait 10 days to begin processing the refund. It then takes Endicia another 4-10 days to finalize the refund.

Within 20 days from cancelling a shipment, the shipping paid will be refunded back to your postage balance.
