Shipping Rules for Multiple Boxes

We use order categories, and shipping rules to automate the various types and sizes of shipments we do. 

However, a near majority of our orders are more than 48lbs (our max size box), and therefore require multiple boxes. 

We are able to categories them out, but still have to manually enter in the new package, with the remainder in weight. 

It would be a massive time saver if there were additional boolean operators to automate the task. 

E.g. "IF" Order weight is greater than 48lbs, "THEN" create new box or shipment, and have it follow the same categories rules to establish the new box size, including the above rule. 

This would allow ShippingEasy to run through theses steps until all of the weight is accounted for within the saved packages.

We greatly appreciate your feedback. We've heard some similar requests from customers to this. They are requesting the ability to automatically create split orders. 

As noted in this Feature Request, this feature is a difficult one to consider, so your detailed post is very helpful. Would you also be able to clarify how you would want the package size to be assigned to the second packages that are created? Would you want the same dimensions used for the first box?

I agree!  Each time I have multiple boxes I have to ship the orders back through worldship instead of using the app, then I have to go back into the order and leave the tracking number.  This would be huge.
