I had an issue yesterday (I apologize because it is a bit complicated) that I think Shipping Easy needs to be aware of.
Back in June, I received an order from at my Shopify store which was flagged as potentially fraudulent. I communicated with the buyer (I'll call him Z) and we resolved the issue. In the process of our conversation, he decided to change his order, so I refunded his money and he placed a second order. I tried to mark his first order (the refunded one) as fulfilled but Shopify would not let me. I didn't think much more of it.
Fast forward to this weekend. I received an order from another person (entirely unrelated, I'll call her X). When I went to purchase a shipping label using Shipping Easy, they imported the refunded order from Z and not the new order from X. I do not know why as there had been several orders in the meantime and Z's refunded order had not ever been sent over to Shipping Easy. Perhaps you can see where this is going: I did not catch this error and sent X's order to Z. As a business person, I did not feel it was right for Z to have to send this package back to me because of my mistake. So I emailed him, said "my loss is your gain" and asked him to pay it forward. I then had to send X her order a second time.
This was a costly mistake for me. Although this was a small order I am trying every day to grow my business. Not only did I lose the money but I also lost inventory, which is something I desperately need going into the Christmas season. I know I am partially at fault for not catching this error. But there's also something going on with Shopify and Shipping Easy that is causing this to happen.
Thanks for reading.
Hello Margaret, and thank you for posting to our community.
Based on your issue, we are going to need some additional details and order numbers to fully investigate this issue.
Due to the sensitive nature of that information, would you mind sending our issue and the order numbers to our support directly at issues@shippingeasy.com so we can look into this further for you?
Thank you.
