Receive tracking alerts/updates for flagged packages

Do you find that sometimes you need to keep an eye on certain shipments?  If so, let us know!

It is built into my companies order process to send a follow-up message after an order is delivered to ensure everything arrived as expected and the order was satisfactory. This is considered good customer service - especially for a small business trying to grow/expand.

Hence, It is crucial to receive deliver notifications in order to complete this task. 

I used to use a competitor of shippingeasy (don't feel appropriate to mention the name).  They have it built in to receive delivery confirmation notifications.

The workaround I am using is going to the shipping carrier website and entering my email in order to request notifications. 

Unfortunately, being a small business, that is an extra step that takes time which is valuable and in my humble opinion - is wasted time to do the extra steps.

I go to the shipping carrier website to enter my email, and my customer's email in order to request notifications.  My customers love that they get the tracking info delivered to their inbox.  I agree, takes extra time that could be so saved by being able to automatically request tracking info be sent to 2-5 email addresses when creating the shipment.  I know Etsy has the customer's email address on each order, so pulling that in with every shipment would be such a time saver.  Then be able to send out a customized email upon shipment delivery.

Bill,

Thank you for your post. We have been looking into methods for supporting this, however the way that tracking information is stored in our database does not allow us to build this easily. It requires a way to the way we request and pull the delivery status from the USPS. 

We are continuing to investigate the options to support this, we are  interested in supporting this, but we do not currently have an estimated date due to the changes required to the backend and database. 

When we do have updates or if we have any questions, we will post them to this thread.

At this time, we don't have a specific release date for this feature but it is on our team's list to consider for prioritization. I've gone ahead and logged your support of this as well.
