Does this software work outside the USA/Canada?

I was initially pleased when I went to the "book a slot with a shipping expert" page and it automatically offered me times based on London/GMT .. hey, these guys know what they are doing, they recognise that there is a world outside the USA!

Anyway, I set up my Magento AP credentials, and due to the way our store routes requests and re-routes certain queries based on their GeoIP etc it took a few hours to get it going, as some of the internal SOAP calls were getting messed up ... no worries, 3 or4 hours of effort would be worth it to get a label printing solution hooked up between Magento and UPS ...

Finally I get it to work .. and ... the next page will NOT let me get any further as the address fields are USA based, and "USPS cannot verify my address"

Please let me know how to set up with a UK based store address ...

Unfortunately, ShippingEasy only currently supports US-Based addresses. The reasoning for us allowing you to choose a different time zone is due to many of our customers being internationally-based but having a US-based warehouse or company address. Why don't you simply put on your website "We only work with US based fulfillment services, we do not support shippers from outside the USA" so it is clear to everyone? You could even just display it in a popup if you detected the requesting IP address was oustside the USA. Apache GeoIp makes this super easy to do.

Our Marketing department has added a question dedicated to this topic in our ShippingEasy Pricing Guide.

Under "Common Questions":

  • I live outside of the USA, can I still use ShippingEasy?
    At this stage ShippingEasy is for shipments originating in the USA. Merchants can be anywhere at all! And Orders can be shipped domestically and internationally. However, they need to start in the United States.

We've also provided an article in our Support Center, within the "About ShippingEasy" section:
