Send Duplicate Labels back to orders page OR at least allow editing

0

As of now, duplicating a label sends it to the payment page which does not allow you to edit the order.

Usually the duplicate is not the exact same as the old order. So it's important to be able to edit the order slightly. We usually just need to edit quantities.

This is important for me to be able to manage these special orders quickly and effectively rather than telling my shipper "Hey ship John Doe 2x widgets". Instead I could just easily create a duplicate shipment, edit it if needed, and send it to the orders page for processing. Then it's a no brainer for my shipper, just like processing a regular order.

Plus this way customers don't get a tracking email from a duplicate order with the incorrect products or quantities.

Hi Nathan,

We do offer the ability to go back and edit a duplicate shipment by clicking the pencil icon on the page you see after clicking "Duplicate". Although it does not allow you to edit the order contents, you're able to edit the shipment.

Nonetheless, I can see why you would want to send it back to the Orders page. It sounds like you would want a button after you click "Duplicate" to be able to send it back to the Orders page (or a separate page just for editing the contents, etc.) for deeper editing. Let me know if you had something else in mind.

Thanks for the suggestion! I will forward your request to our Product Team. Please keep an eye on this thread for possible future updates.

I was going to submit a similar request for this feature. Since the original request is 3 years old. Are you still considering this? I have the same use case for this feature.

Hi Renee,

Thank you for posting to our forums.

Currently we do offer the ability to edit a duplicate shipment in terms of the carrier options on the Ready to Ship page, using the step-by-step instructions via the link below.

Are you looking for an option to edit your shipments in more detail or simply return the orders to your Orders page for processing later? Any additional details you can provide regarding your specific needs will help us quantify your request to our Product Team.

Thank you!
