I purchased $10 worth of postage but got charge $20 worth. How do i get refunded the $10 that I didn't approve or need?

Hello Nalani - Thanks for reaching out to us! I'm sorry to see that you were charged twice. This can happen if you click the purchase button more than once. It does not always appear to have been clicked the first time, so it's a mistake that's seen from time to time.

If you add too much to an account, you have a couple of options:

  1. Retain the balance for future use.
  2. Close the account for a refund of the balance.

We explain these options in detail in this article and I have summarized the points below as well.

If you plan to use that carrier account in the near future, I highly recommend just retaining the balance. For reference, your Endicia accounts provide access to the following services:

  • Endicia First Class: USPS First Class, Media Mail, Parcel Select
  • Endicia Expedited: USPS Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express

If you rarely use the services provided by the account, closing it for a refund is a reasonable course of action. Although it may take 7-14 days to receive the refund once the account is closed. Find out how to close your Endicia account.
