Enter shipping weight in pounds with decimals instead of pounds and ounces

On the ready to ship page, it would be nice to have an option for entering the shipping weight in decimal pounds (i.e. 5.25 pounds) instead of pounds and ounces (i.e. 5 pounds 4 ounces) and then have ounces calculated for us. Our scale currently gives weight in decimals and we now have to manually calculate the equivalent number of ounces in order to do data entry.

Hi Ted,

Thanks for this feedback - I totally get why you'd want this! I'll forward your request to our Product Team but in the meantime, what scale do you have? Most scales have the option to change the formatting. If your scale can do this, it's definitely a good workaround in the meantime.

Similar issue - my BigCommerce store selling items that range in weight from 2 ounces to 10 ounces - and the site is set to register in ounces and every item is correctly set to ounces but once somebody orders and the order goes to Shipping Easy, the products are weighed in pounds. This, of course, requires time-consuming manual correction before we can ship. Interestingly, when we use ShipStation, the weight register correctly. I can switch to Ship Station but I prefer the Shipping Easy interface. PLEASE HELP! We spend $45,000 a year on USPS postage, so you can imagine how much TIME the corrections are taking us.

I also have the same problem when using ounces for the weight in BigCommerce. Every time the orders go over to Shipping Easy, I have to manually change the weight from pounds to ounces for every.single.order. This is very inefficient and time consuming. Can you please give us an update on this?
