UPS integration issues

I'm trying to integrate my UPS account. I've followed the steps in the help article, but don't see a place to enter the UPS invoice information.

I'm getting this error message:

SPECIAL UPS RATE ALERT(S) Messages from UPS, even though I think I've entered the following information correctly:
  • The requested service is not available through the selected acquisition type. Make sure you've selected the correct Rate Type when you setup your UPS account in ShippingEasy. You can change it by clicking the Manage Account link on the Shipping Providers page.

Does anyone have any bright ideas about what might be going wrong?

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in our forums!

I do see that you have a UPS account connected to ShippingEasy on your Shipping Providers page so it appears you have successfully integrated. If you are still getting the error you listed above ("SPECIAL UPS RATE ALERT") the rate type you selected "Customer Counter" is incorrect for the service you are trying to use to ship. You can view this selection in Settings> Shipping Providers (Rates)> Then select to "Manage account for UPS". You may need to contact UPS to verify your rate type if you are unable to find this on your invoice.

It is also possible that the shipping method you selected is not enabled on your UPS account. If you are still getting the same error once you verify your rate type, I suggest you try inputting the same information and selections on UPS to see if you are able to make the shipment. If you are unable to purchase this with the same selections on UPS, you will need to contact them to enable that service type for your UPS account.

The error you are describing is generated by UPS directly, so we are unable to override this. However if you are able to verify your account settings for UPS in ShippingEasy, as well as verify that your UPS account is enabled for the service type you are trying to to select, you should be able to ship!

Warm regards,
