Adding Time to Shipping Slip

0

Greetings,

I would like to make a request for a new Feature, to make the Order Time available Variable.

With Amazon allowing us to ship Prime Orders, Time of the Order is very important. By making this variable available we will be able to sort the Shipping Slips when we print.

Thanks.

Hello Kirk,

We appreciate your contribution to the feature request forum. I've added in a request for a column for a time stamp for when the order was placed for consideration.

One column you may consider to use in the meantime would be the "age" column which you can sort to show either oldest orders first or newest orders first. This would allow you to see when the orders were placed without an exact time stamp.

We will ask customers with a similar request to post or follow this thread and be sure to post any update here.

I have a shopify site - we've created a field in the checkout page for the customers desired ship date.  often people place orders that they'd like delivered at a certain later date.  we're an agricultural business.

I'd like to get that info to transfer from Shopify into Shipping easy so that I could view that date on our orders page from which we print pick and packing lists

from Shopify support

To pull the date attribute from orders ShippingEasy will need to get the note_attributes section from the order API. In liquid, it can be accessed this way {% for attribute in attributes %}
{{ attribute | first }}: {{ attribute | last }}<br>
{% endfor %}

It's one of those things that seem like an obvious requirement for me, but isn't for others.  A time stamp seems absolutely necessary.  Going back to understand why an order wasn't delivered by a certain date, I like to look at the date AND TIME an order was placed and processed to see if it missed the cutout time for ship that day.  As least in the packing slip that I can bring up in shippingeasy.  For example, Amazon shows the time stamp on all orders.  If Amazon does it, it's probably a Best Practice.

Thanks
