multibyte string error

I added the shippingeasy plugin and none of my orders came into my account. I have already setup properly. To make matter worst people have been experiencing checkout issues yesterday. I didn't relate it to shippingeasy until when just a few minutes ago someone told me the exact error they saw: shipping easy needs the multibyte string phone extension.

So I just disable the plugin as its preventing people from checking out.

Hello Cornelius, and thank you for posting to our community!

The error you encountered is actually a requirement of WordPress, the system used by WooCommerce.

In most cases, WordPress should preclude you from configuring additional plugins unless this has been configured. However, in some cases a WooCommerce account will function and spontaneously report a related error.

To resolve the error, you will need to contact your web site hosting company, but you can find additional information about this error, viewing your error log messages, and a link to a related WordPress forum via the link below.
