I have been unable to get support for canceling a label from UPS or the local UPS store. I created a UPS Label on 5/2. I packed the box and took it to a local 3rd party UPS shipment store. They scanned the package in and minutes after I left the store, my customer cancelled their order. I went back into the store and picked the box back up.
The box was scanned into the store but never shipped because I reclaimed it. The 3rd party store informed me that they could not void a label. I called UPS directly to try to get assistance in voiding the label but they informed me that because the label was generated through ShippingEasy that they could also not void it on their end. When I try to void it from my account on ShippingEasy I get an error message that it cannot be voided.
It very clearly can be seen that the shipment has not moved from where it was scanned in at the Colorado Springs location because I took the box back. I would appreciate any guidance in canceling this label so that I do not have to file for a chargeback with my credit card company.
Hello,
Thank you for posting to our forums!
I'm sorry to hear you have run into troubles cancelling the UPS label.
As UPS labels are not billed in ShippingEasy and the rates you see there are quotes from UPS via their API, UPS would need to void the label on their end. You are invoiced for UPS shipments including those generated in ShippingEasy via UPS directly. This is explained in the article linked below:
How do I get billed for UPS postage printed in ShippingEasy?
I would recommend reaching out to UPS directly again and telling them the following:
I used a third party application with the UPS API to create my shipping label. This label was scanned but not shipped. The third party is receiving an error when they attempt to cancel the label that they cannot override. I need this UPS label cancelled by you at UPS and the purchase amount refunded to my account.
The UPS contact page can be found here: https://www.ups.com/us/en/help-center/contact.page
Fingers crossed they help you cancel the label this time around!
