Editing shipping weight

When editing shipping weight from the Orders page it would be nice to have the weight automatically entered from a USB postal scale like it does when you create a shipment.

Hi Camille, 

Great news! Merchant's with a USB scale set up via ConnectEasy can now weigh and ship from the new orders slideout on the Orders Page. 

TO complete this action, click on the line of the order you want to ship. At the top of the Orders Details box, you will see the weight box. Place the package on the scale to retrieve the weight. Once the weight is displayed, hit Update Weight. Your weight is saved and the package is ready to ship!

There are a couple of things to note:

  • If someone removes an order/package from the scale ShippingEasy will revert back to the last saved weight.
  • This differs from the Ready to Ship page which reverts back the last weight read by the scale. A hard page refresh is required on the Ready to Ship page to revert back the last saved order weight.
  • Whenever a scale is connected and reads a positive weight, no manual edits can be made to the weight field.
