General Issue: lots of small issues - orders archived after 90 days ... character limitations

spending a lot more time over the past year running into issue with the shipping easy web interface.  In the end we can ship, but who wants to re enter data,  or risk truncating meaningful address data because of character limitations.

Nothing irritates me more that having to re-enter data twice or remove address information and hope that enough remain for the package to actually arrive at the correct location.

Very good experience with the system from 2012-2016...  I can no longer say that... I use the platform to ship and only ship.  Archiving orders and loosing actions like one click return really bothered me.

Hello John, and thank you for posting to our community!

I believe I already responded to one of your posts about archived orders here: Orders older than 90 days archived and can no longer manage returns

In regards to the character limitations, unfortunately because our label partner Endicia is only able to fit so many characters on a label, the limitation were put in place to prevent address information from being left off of your labels. We believe that having control over a limited amount of characters would be better than random information being left off altogether.

That being said, if you are normally experiencing problems fitting international addresses, abbreviating the Province information is typically one of the easiest ways to reduce characters. You can usually find province abbreviations for any country using google search.

However, if you are needing additional character space for specific fields on a constant basis, we would encourage you to repost your specific needs to our Feature Requests forums? These are monitored by our CEO and Product Team and used to prioritize future development work.

We look forward to seeing you in the Feature Request forum and taking an active role in helping to shape ShippingEasy!

Thank you and happy shipping!
