Big Commerce Weight Issue

Our Big Commerce Web store is set up properly for all weights to be in ounces, and they show in ounces on our Web site, but when the orders flow to Shipping Easy for us to process postage, the weights are in pounds. This means we have to correct them manually in Shipping Easy. How do we fix this? The corrections are annoying, time consuming and expensive as our lower-level and entry employees don't know the weights of over 3,000 products - only salaried upper management knows them. This has been going on for close to 10 years. We have asked BC and SE for help but both companies wind up pointing the finger at each other. That's, well, crap. Surely this is a known issue and with clear fix. Help!

Hello Dario,

Thanks for posting in our forums! There is a setting in your store settings in ShippingEasy if you go to Settings -> Stores & Orders -> Edit Store Settings for your BigCommerce store and under the Products tab, you'll see an option for Weight Measurement that you can set to convert to ounces. I see that it's currently set to Pounds so I would change it to Ounces and that should fix it!

Tom ... you are RIGHT ON, my friend - and you have no idea how grateful I am for your response and expertise. Our in-house tech (no longer with us) couldn't figure this out, nor could he get help from SE or BC ... and now I'm thinking that perhaps he might have botched the question, unless, of course, this is NEW functionality, which I doubt. Wow. No, wait - wow! As my mind drifts back over the years, I'm thinking that we threw away one heck of a lot of time and money. Thank you.
