Shipment from UK to Singapore: TAX & CLEARANCE FEE payment



May i seek for an advise what does this mean - as i saw this in the shipment tracking (which not progressing):





This is a delivery from UK to Singapore and does it mean that the recipient must pay in order to deliver out from UK?

Besides, what is the correct channel or procedures to make this tax and clearance fee payment?

Thanks for posting to our community. I am not seeing that you have an account with ShippingEasy, so I am unable to find any information on a particular shipment.  However, I have some information I can share that may help:

When you ship something to another country, you or your customer may be asked to pay additional duties and taxes before the shipment is delivered.

Governments tax shipments from other countries because they want to:

1. Protect domestic companies from foreign competitors

2. Control the flow of certain products

3. Raise revenue through taxes

Duties and taxes on shipments are legal requirements that must be settled before your shipment can be delivered.

The customs clearance covers the process of preparing and submitting Customs Entry documentation to the CBP. This is also known as Customs Brokerage.

You may want to reach out to the carrier the order was shipped with or perhaps the customs office where the fee is being requested.

Shall contact the carrier again on which customs office that requested the fee.

It was not stated as well in the "COMMENT" when we check the shipment status.

How do I check or know whether the involved courier is real or fake.

This is the involved courier info:

Had tried to emailed them earlier but seems no respond.

I looked at the site information - it seems like to be fishy.
