Argh - you've hobbled the "Create Order" function!

Hey there-

Some of the changes I've been seeing on the site lately have been pretty good, but some time this week, you've made an edit to the "Create A Manual Order" modal that has rendered it mostly useless!

It used to be that I could paste in an address, enter the package weight and then select one of my shipping presets and out came a label - a magic process that took maybe five seconds.

A couple weeks ago, you took out the ability to select a preset here, which meant I'd paste the address, enter the package weight and then click "Create Shipment", wait several seconds for it to load, and then select my preset from there. But now, I can't even enter the package weight in the modal, meaning that next screen just got more time-consuming. :\  Yes, I know I'm only wasting an extra minute now, but since I ship dozens of orders every day, that adds up!

Would it be possible to please put it back to how it was, where the address, weight and presets were all found on the Create Order modal?  Thanks!

Just following up to see if there are any plans to fix one of the functions that I actually need to use several times daily which was (probably inadvertently) broken during a coding update on your end a couple weeks ago. 

To refresh your memory, it's the "Create a Manual Order" modal (screenshot below), and I am no longer able to 1) specify the total package weight here, and 2) select one of my shipping presets to quickly ship a package from within the modal. Issue #2 was the first to disappear a few weeks ago, but obviously, #1 needs to be restored in order for #2 to even work at all. Please note that the Item Weight field under "Edit Item" is wholly unrelated, as it's only customs-specific and DOES NOT concern the package itself...

Please help - thanks!

Hi Chris,

Thank you for reaching back out! We appreciate you sharing your feedback on the manual order workflow. To address your inquiry about adding the order weight, I can confirm that the weight field under "edit item" does update the weight for the full order - it does not solely refer to customs forms. Please input the weight of your order in that field. If you are adding more than one item, the system will automatically calculate the total order weight, based on the weight of each individual item in the order. I hope this helps!

Thanks for responding, but I'd like to know how you're getting that field to carry through? When I add the address and weight and then click "Create Shipment", it goes to the next page with no weight passed through...

Oops, never mind, I see it now; you have to click "Save" first when adding the weight! Sorry, that's a new step that wasn't there before, so I wasn't aware of it...

Still, though, it would be *really* nice to be able to just select one of my shipping presets here (like I used to), rather than creating the shipment just to use a preset on the next page... Thanks!
