Shipment History Delivery Icon

0

Thank you for adding the "Delivery" column on the "Shipping History" page. It helps me to identify lost shipments at a (prolonged) glance. The clocks and checkmarks are great, but there needs to be a bigger difference between "No Tracking Yet" and  "Scanned en Route" icons due to the color.

In the above screen grab, the first row below the header has a grey clock in the delivery column, and the next row has a green clock. At first glance, these two look the same, but they are not.

Here are my suggestions:

  1. Make the color of the clocks more distinctive (yellow/orange or lighter grey)
  2. Use a different icon for either the "No Tracking Yet" or "Scanned En Route" status.

I have posted examples of what the page would look like with either of my suggestions. I used stock images that I have access through Adobe CC.

Example 1a (Yellow/Orange Clock) RGBA 255 150 0 1

Example 1b (Lighter Grey Clock) RGBA 204 204 204 1

Hello Robert,

Thank you very much for your detailed suggestions. This feedback is very helpful.

We have heard of a couple similar requests from customers about trying to make the delivery column simpler to use. I can appreciate updating the visuals to make them more unique and easier to identify, so I've logged this request under this feature for consideration. We do not currently have a prioritization date an update to the delivery column, but we are investigating possible updates.

One thing I'd be curious to get your feedback on is a couple ways we are considering to make the delivery column easier to reference:
A) A filter on the Shipment History screen to sort down to different delivery statuses (similar to the Status filter on the Shipment History screen)
B) A shipping report that could be run to show the status of USPS shipments

Which one of these features do you think would be most helpful to you as a merchant?

Of the two options, Option A should take priority, but both should be implemented. Currently, if I try to sort shipments by the delivery column, I don't see anything useful. There are clocks, checks, and blanks all throughout and in no particular order.

Option B seems is a great one because it seems to offer merchants the ability to pull reports on a scheduled basis. I would love to have a shipping report delivered to my inbox every morning so I can catch any problems, especially if I can head off an upset customer. This may create a sense of confidence by the buyer in that I am not just a "fire and forget" type of merchant. I want to make sure the packages I send downrange hit their intended target.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your feedback! I agree this would be a great addition and I've logged your specific feedback on these two options.

We are still very much in the investigation stage for this feature, so we do not have an exact release date. We will ask customers who have a similar interest in updating this feature to direct their feedback to this page!

A shipment status filter would be very helpful.  Specifically I want to be able to filter for orders not showing as delivered for a specific date range in order to identify potential problems and be proactive about them.

A CSV report showing what the latest scan status was would be another option, I can filter that in Excel with just a few keystrokes.

Hello Bill and Robert,

We have been able to add in a feature that can help with your requests. We have added in a delivery status filter on the Shipment History screen. This allows you to easily sort to orders based on the delivery status with real time updates from the USPS.

A couple things to note is that this will apply only to USPS shipments and shipments generated after January 11th.

Thank you very much for your feedback!
