I have parent/main products with multiple options - as many as 100 in some cases. When I search for a variants SKU in the Shipping Easy inventory grid, I get the main product and then a dropdown for "Multiple Variants". That's fine, but the problem is the sub-grid for the variants only includes 10 variants that can be easily accessed and whose inventory can be quickly updated. When you hit "View All," the grid disappears and you get a list of each variant SKU. To update inventory for a given SKU, one needs to open the individual SKU, click on "Adjust Stock," then update, save, and backup twice to get back to the list of variant SKUs.
In short, what is a simple two step process for main products in the main inventory grid - or the ten products that show up in the initial drop-down grid - to update inventory is now a several step, awkward process. I will now need to update variants via csv uploads, which is also a pain.
The solution to this is easy: provide the same functionality - quick sort based on SKU, inventory updates - for up to 50 products in the Variant grid. If you have more than 50 variants, you should be able to move to the next 50.
An easier solution still would be to do away with the multiple variant grid. Just let us search for individual variant SKUs - or a partial SKU. In may face, RACE-BLK is the parent. Before this was added all variants would appear in the search for RACE-BLK - I could just run down the grid and update inventory with one click of the mouse, enter the new number, and return. Done.
I really hope Shipping Easy remedies this easily, because those of us who have few main products, but thousands of variants, can't access those variants easily in the inventory grid. Really frustrating.
