I'm trying to create a return label but when I click on the "Save & Get Rate" it keeps highlighting the Weight section telling me I need to enter a weight. I have the weight entered. I tried entering different weights just to see what would happen and I get the same error.

Normally the Item Weight field is only required if you are using the Save & Quick Ship button. However, the Item Weight field will always be highlighted in red, regardless. It is not an error message actually, but instead a way to bring attention to the field.
You should be able to go ahead and click the Save & Get Rate button, with or without a weight listed and be able to move forward with purchasing your label.
