Integrate with Tindie.com a market place for people selling Hardware

0

Hello,

I sell hardware on a site called Tindie.com. Currently they handle taking orders and payment but don't offer any sort of support for shipping orders. I'm not a programmer but I know TIndie has an API so I was wondering if ShippingEasy could pull orders from Tindie?

Thanks,

Eric

Bria,

Thank you very much for the reply. There is certainly a lot of interest for something like this on the Tindie forums.

I'm sure new users who do not currently use a shipping label service like yours would love it. Again they are not current customers so I doubt you will see them on this forum.

Thanks!

I use Tindie and process about 40 order once a week. Integration between shippingeasy.com and tindie.com would be a big advantage.

Currently the process is very manual and prone to lots of mistakes because content must be copy/past between the two size, and between spreadsheets and each site.

For example, the typical process looks something like this:

  1. download a TSV file from Tindie
  2. convert the TSV to a CSV
  3. upload the CSV file to shippingeasy
  4. map the fields
  5. compute the correct shipping weight
  6. process the orders in shippingeasy
  7. view the shipping report in shippingeasy
  8. manually copy/paste each tracking order one at a time from shippingeasy to tindie
  9. mark each order one at a time in tindie as shipped

Even when everything looks good its still easy to make mistakes.
