Consolidate billing for Shipsurance

Today, there was a charge to my on-file credit card for $1.50-something for insurance. I don't like itty-bitty charges like that, and neither do our accounts payable people. Can these charges be aggregated into one monthly invoice? Even better would be prepaying these, like we do for Endicia shipping fees.

I agree about the aggregation. Those tiny charges are probably costing ShippingEasy more in transaction charges as well. Just put the insurance on our monthly bill!

Hi Lonnie and Debbie,

So sorry for the delay in response. This is a great suggestion!

We do currently aggregate into a 72 hour period, which does help our customers who purchase lots of insurance within that time frame. However, I can see how it would be helpful for you to be billed monthly if you do not purchase as much Shipsurance. Pre-paying with a balance is also a neat idea!

Great news everyone! ShippingEasy will now aggregate charges in a more concrete way. Instead of aggregating shipment insurance charges every three days (as we do now), ShippingEasy will now aggregate and charge for insurance on a fixed basis: early every Wednesday morning and early every Saturday morning. This provides a more consistent schedule for our customers. While we did not move to an aggregating system on a monthly basis, we hope this will help!

Hi guys, has this ever been looked at again? The Wednesday/Saturday aggregation really doesn't help us because we don't purchase much insurance. This morning, there was a charge of $0.59 to my credit card. What a pain. What about an option to either prepay insurance or aggregate it monthly and add it to our next month's subscription fee?

At this time, we are not considering specific changes to the insurance aggregation charges but I have logged your request. If there are updates to this, we will be sure to update this post.
