Make "Weight" editable right on the order page

0

Currently to change the weight of a package, you have to scroll all the way to the right if your browser isn't WIDELY opened and click on the "down arrow button" and "edit weight", then a popup window, enter the weight, and then confirm edit. That's two many clicks more than it should be need to edit the weight. If the page can use Ajax/jQuery or whatever so that you just click on the weight number and it changes to an editable box, you edit that and hit return and done.

It would be lot faster in terms of workflow.

Hi G,

Thanks for your feedback! It sounds like you dont want a popup, but rather a field in one of the columns to change the weight - is that right?

I would also like this feature.  Many orders we know at a glance are going to go USPS First Class package but catalog weights or imported weights are not always accurate, especially if it is a multi quantity.  If we easily adjust those weights we could print all of those as a batch without having to go through the shipments page.  It's too hard to adjust those weights now, no real advantage over using the shipments page I think.  I'd much rather do a quick edit then with a couple of clicks send all of those shipments to the label printer.  That could be a significant time savings for us.

Bill,

Thank you very much for bringing this feature request to our attention. This sounds like a great way to help streamline the process and reduce the number of clicks per order.

One option we do have, that I want to make sure you are aware of, you can also edit the weight of orders in bulk through the "more" drop down menu.

This does reduce the number of clicks on an individual order. Additionally, if you have SKUs we also offer the product catalog which you can use to store your products weights. Here is an overview of the product catalog and it may be able to help you maximize your time savings by storing your weights.

This is needed due to batching limitations. I would love to be able to add a order to the batch one at a time. This way the orders print in the order I put them in. Otherwise we have print 1 label at a time to do them in order or go to the ready to ship page and add to cart over and over.

Corey,

Thanks for the feedback! Being able to add individual orders to the batch does seem like a useful feature.

ShippingEasy currently offers the ability to update weights on the orders page and store weights to assigned SKUs in your product catalog. If these two features are used, it may alleviate the need for adding orders to a batch.
