Hi, we just updated our Woo Commerce store and now ShippingEasy plugin is incompatible with the latest version of WooCommerce 2.3.7? There are also no updates available for the plugin.

Hi Chelly - Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

We have an article that addresses commonly asked questions about using WooCommerce with ShippingEasy:

In particular, there are a couple of questions listed with steps that will help us investigate the error. Could you run through the steps listed under these question headers and email the data to issues@shippingeasy.com?

  • How do I configure the ShippingEasy plugin to log status messages?
  • How do I examine the log messages created by the ShippingEasy plugin if I am using WooCommerce v2.2 or higher?

We've received a few additional reports of ShippingEasy not working with WooCommerce v2.3.7. However, we suspect that the ShippingEasy plugin actually is compatible with WooCommerce v2.3.7.

In an effort to replicate the problem, we upgraded our test server to WooCommerce v2.3.7 and the ShippingEasy plugin continued to work. While good news, as it indicates that the two are compatible, it presents more questions as to what is preventing the plugin from working for some WooCommerce v2.3.7 sellers.

One interesting observation we made was that the plugin was deactivated during the WooCommerce upgrade. While it was then reactivated during the installation, it may be worth the time to again - deactivate, reactivate, and re-save the ShippingEasy plugin settings. To do this:

  1. From the WordPress admin UI, click on Plugins.
  2. Scroll down to the ShippingEasy entry and click Deactivate.
  3. After the page redraws, click Activate on the ShippingEasy entry.
  4. To make sure that the ShippingEasy plugin's settings are correct and have been saved, follow the instructions from step 18 of this article.

If this suggestion does not resolve the problem, our development team is interested in the following information from affected accounts. Please email your answers to issues@shippingeasy.com:

  1. What version of WooCommerce was in use before upgrading?
  2. Before upgrading WooCommerce, was the ShippingEasy integration working?
  3. What other plugins are installed in WordPress? Download this information from the WordPress admin UI:
    • Click the System Status entry in the WooCommerce menu.
    • Depending on your version of WooCommerce, you will see a button labeled either Download System Report File or Get System Report.
    • Click the button and WooCommerce will either download the configuration information, or display it in a window so that you can copy and paste it into an email.
