Add a column to shipping history/reports: delivery date?

Would it be possible to add a field in the shipping history (and also reports) that would display the delivery date?

As we strive to improve our delivery time to our customers, we would love to see the average shipping time from label generation to delivery date (or even better from order date to delivery date). Right now, we have to click the tracking link in the shipping history to see the details of the delivery.

I believe you get this data from USPS so it would be great to add this functionality!

We would use it to create a weekly/monthly report for average delivery time. I think every ShippingEasy customer would love this!!!

Great suggestion! As far as delivery status options we offer today, you'll notice the "Delivery" column in the Shipment History. We display a clock showing the progress. However, at this moment this information is not translated to our reporting.

Today, the tracking updates we receive are not quite precise enough to know down-to-the-minute, the day, and time a shipment was delivered. That said, I agree that this would be helpful information for our customers! Thank you so much for posting so we can prioritize this enhancement accordingly.

I'll be in touch as we begin work on this feature, via this thread. In the meantime, if you'd like this information in CSV form, you can pull your Transactions Report from Endicia. More HERE.

Hello Alex, 

Great news! We've added in a "Delivery Status" filter on the Shipment History screen for USPS shipments. You can use this to access real time shipment statuses from the USPS.

One thing to note is that this will only apply to shipments that were completed after January 11th.

Hi ShippingEasy, I'm following up on this open feature request that I submitted almost 4 years ago, back in October 2015.

As a long time happy ShippingEasy customer, we still yearn for the day that we can calculate "average shipping time".

As a near term resolution, may I suggest that you add Delivery Date to your Complete Shipping Report?

Some additional context for you to consider:

  • From what I can tell, "Ship Date" is the day a label is generated, not the day it is received/scanned by carrier.
  • Therefore, a better assessment of Processing Time would be from Order Date to "In Transit" Date, and Delivery Time would be from Order Date to Delivery Date.
  • In Shipping History, you enable filtering based on Delivery Status = New, In Transit, Delivered.  Those flags are important to the customer when they change.  And we need to be able to report on them, based on date on each flag.
