Sales Tax Audit for Tax Payment Purposes

0

Can you please create a way to pull sales tax data out of each order into either a spreadsheet or PDF format? It's hard to catch this every time as the shipping address isn't displayed on the orders page and is minimally displayed on the "ready to ship" screen, although this seems to be a moot point now that the ready to ship page is becoming obsolete.

Thanks,

Michael

Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out. While we do not currently have what you are requesting (it seems you want Sales Tax added to the reports), we did recently add a variable (for Amazon, Magento, eBay, WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, and Volusion) to our email and packing slip templates. On these templates, if the variable is used, the Sales Tax will show the amount (if any) of sales tax that was applied to the order. You can add that by following creating a custom template or editing an existing template. You can see how the variables are mapped for emails here and for packing slips here.

That said, I've gone ahead and forwarded your request to bring Sales Tax into reports as well - this is definitely be useful information for some shippers! Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates we may make.

Hi Michael,

This may not meet your need 100%, I wanted to let you know we have a new report called the Shipping Margin Report. This report can be made for all orders or only domestic orders and includes margin totals so it should aid you in finding data for your taxes. Here's a bit of information as to what is included in each report:

- What data is included in the "Shipping Margin" (ALL) report?

- What data is included in the "Shipping Margin" (DOMESTIC) report?

We hope you find it useful!
