Thanks for the suggestion. We are always looking for help on prioritizing what sort of Shipping Rule support we should add next, so this is helpful.

Just to make sure I completely understand your situation, I have a few questions:

1. Is the customs form Description field the only field on the customs form that you want to have filled in automatically by a Shipping Rule? Would it be useful to have the Harmonized Code or Package Content Type also filled in automatically?

2. For orders with more than one line item, do you typically fill in different values for the Description field on the customs form?

I can see where this can be beneficial and would like to be able to use this.  Those descriptions are also much shorter than normal product descriptions.

There should be 2 product attributes that should be specific for international customs forms.

1 - Price, it is some times necessary to revise the price on the customs form.

2 - Product Title, packages with a description that matches the harmonized code are less susceptible to rejection or being abandoned.

We do now support a feature very similar to this through and would likely support your request through our Product Catalog.

With our product catalog, you can upload both a price and product description that will display only on the customs form. If you change the product description on the Product Catalog, it will affect only the customs form and not packing slips/ email.
