We use a consolation company (APC) so the tracking number basically meaningless and is confusing our customers. We get a lot of complaints.

Thanks for the suggestion. We have some features for customizing both the email notification and the packing slip, so you could just remove the tracking number information on all orders.
But I realize that's less than ideal because then your domestic shipments would not have that information, so I have added your idea to our list for consideration in a future release.
