Delivery Notifications for followup emails

It would be awesome to get delivery notifications sent to the recipient and/or a store admin based on the delivery status. If you could set that up with Rules it would be even better.

For example: An item is marked as delivered by USPS, an email is sent automatically "Hey <customer>, I wanted to let you know we just got a notification that your "product" is in your mailbox, I can't wait for you to open it"

OR

3 days after delivery: "Hey <customer>, did everything get there ok? I was just checking in on your delivery and it looks like it was marked as delivered a couple days ago. If it hasn't showed, or something seems off, let me know ASAP :)"

We do a lot of promotional samples so it would be a great automatic Lead followup tool as well, both as a notification that we should be checking in, or as an automatic check-in for us. It keeps the ball rolling automatically.

Anyway, it would be great if that was on your future list of implementations :)

I wholeheartedly 2nd this request. It's great for the customer to feel engaged throughout the fulfillment process, so that they know they are being taken care of.

Current status:
- ShippingEasy sends out a shipping confirmation based on ship date field when the shipping label is generated.

Desired future state:
- Send out a confirmation email when the carrier accepts the shipment (e.g. "Hi there! Quick update: your package is now in the hands of USPS and it on it's way to you! Here is your tracking link again: [link]")
- Send out a final confirmation email like Evan states above (e.g. Hi again! Just wanted to let you know that your package has arrived! Can't wait for you to open it!"

Agreed, this is a feature on ShipStation right now... I thought it was here when I signed up ..  Anyone have any other solutions for this?

I'd really be interested in a feature like this. A delivery notification email would be an excellent proactive feature that I could use to further engage my customers.

This post is over a year old.  Is there any movement on this?  I may need to look into ship station if thats the case.  We need a way re-touch customers after we know something has been delivered.

You obviously capture the delivery as there is a check mark int he history showing if something is in transit or not.....so why on earth is it not implemented yet to get a simple delivery notification?  All I want is to have myself notified of the delivery so I don't have to constantly go back in and check.

Thank you for your post. We have been looking into methods for supporting this, however the way that tracking information is stored in our database does not allow us to build this easily. It requires a way to the way we request and pull the delivery status from the USPS. The information request to pull the delivery status is a different request than confirming the delivery and being able to trigger an email be sent. Once we are able to add this feature in, we would like to expand it into our reporting capabilities as well. 

We are continuing to investigate the options to support this, we are  interested in supporting this, but we do not currently have an estimated date due to the changes required to the backend and database. 

When we do have updates or if we have any questions, we will post them to this thread.

Just wanted to put my vote in for this one.  

Due to repeated issues where the customer called 2 weeks or more after delivery to say they never received their order, I was looking into this feature but with tracking #'s + carrier not fully integrated with BC (a known issue to both) the other software can not help me on this.

I just received a delivery confirmation email from a company I did business with. First of all, it's a great touch to show they care. Secondly, it should cut down on lost packages- notifying the customer "Go check your mailbox!"

Are you any closer to getting this done?

This is a feature that ShippingEasy is interested in releasing in the near future, but we do not have an exact date at this time. Once we have any updates to this feature, we will be sure to update this post.
