Yes, I need to be able to write internal notes on individual products that will not have to ever print or show anywhere except in the individual product page. Such as “item discontinued 9/3/16 – email Jeff when run out” or “not available – offer different banner”

Yes, thank you for this additional information. I have added a request to our inventory queue to add internal notes to the individual product view page.
In the meantime, I will direct any customers with similar requests to comment or follow on this post as well. Feedback helps us to learn how many customers are interested in each feature and prioritize what we should work on next. I will update this thread again once this work has been prioritized.

Yes, it would be nice to have notes on the items for us to use internally. This is the kind of flexibility that most other software providers do not make available.

UPDATE: ShippingEasy retired the Inventory Management subscription in June of 2020. Our Product Catalog stores a comprehensive list of the products you sell and allows you to add your product information to leverage product and SKU details to ship more efficiently. Learn more about our Product Catalog.
Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers.

Hi Melanie & Randy,
Thank you for your feedback. Today you are able to add notes to your purchase orders that are displayed on the final PDF that is exported or emailed from our system. You're also able to add notes to your Supplier records which are for internal purposes only. Supplier notes are not displayed on purchase orders generated in our system.
Were you also wanting to save notes on the individual product pages displayed in ShippingEasy? And would these notes be for internal purposes only and not be required to be displayed on purchase orders created in our system?
