In the Purchase orders module, it would be a great feature to be able to add products that are drop shipped from our Vendors warehouse. From the orders screen, I'd like to have the ability to click the order and select add to PO.
If you offer a 'Dropship' checkbox in the Product page, that would identify each SKU that is drop shipped. That would help us identify the orders that need to be sent to our vendors to fulfill.
I wonder if this might best be served with a Drop Ship box under the supplier.
As orders are placed the inventory level goes down, the threshold is met and it goes on the list to be ordered.
But how to get the customer shipping address on the PO. Sounds like we need a dropship module that handles the whole process.
This would be huge for us! I really love ShippingEasy, but I am currently researching other options like Ordero just because of this requirement for our stores.

Thank you all for your feedback and interest in our new inventory management system. As there are several different suggestions/requests here I have a few quick follow up questions.
It sounds like some of you would like to manage and track the amount of stock that your drop shippers have available for specific products. Is it always the case that the products fulfilled by your drop shipper/s are not shipped out by yourself? Or is there ever an instance when you might need to fulfill an order for a product that is marked as a drop shipped product? If so, how would you expect ShippingEasy to track the stock updates?

For our scenario, from one supplier, we have certain items that we warehouse and ship and then other items that we have the supplier dropship for us. On occasion, though, we run out of an item and then need to send that order to our supplier for fulfillment (to send directly to our customer). We currently use Ordoro and it allows us to make this change on a per order basis through the order page. It also provides a product attribute that allows us to denote if an item is to be dropshipped. I believe this is what Trey was referring to. It would be great to have similar functionality with SE versus having to create custom workarounds through product categories, etc. It would also be extremely helpful if SE could send an email to the supplier notifying them of the order, even if the notification just gave them a link back to their account within SE. At least they would know that an order was waiting for them (versus them just randomly logging in and checking). This dropship functionality is the only thing holding us back from switching over from Ordoro.

Thank you for this additional information. I have added a request to our inventory queue to add support for drop shipping and routing orders directly to a supplier/s. As you suggested this would need to include the ability to update existing orders to mark them as being drop shipped.
In the meantime, I will direct any customers with similar requests to comment or follow on this post as well. Feedback helps us to learn how many customers are interested in each feature and prioritize what we should work on next. I will update this thread again once this work has been prioritized.

So I was looking into this today, being able to create a PO directly from the orders page to drop ship to a customer from a vendor.
I called and found the work around for this, but this option really needs to happen. I see this has been kicked around for a couple of years, but it's silly to have to print out a packing slip then go to inventory to make a PO and copy paste information into the PO.
This is a simple streamline fix. Can we get this feature added?

UPDATE: ShippingEasy retired the Inventory Management subscription in June of 2020. Our Product Catalog stores a comprehensive list of the products you sell and allows you to add your product information to leverage product and SKU details to ship more efficiently. Learn more about our Product Catalog.
At this time, we will no longer be building out Inventory Management features.
Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers.
