How is ShippingEasy's inventory system handling Pending Orders on Amazon.com? Does SE now adjust seller inventory accordingly when a new Pending Order appears on Amazon?
Amazon Pending Orders

Very important to catch these pending orders from Amazon to avoid overselling. Normally Amazon keeps orders in pending for 30 minutes, that allows the customer to have time to cancel. But if there is a problem with the buyers credit card an order can stay in Pending for days. Right now I have a Pending order that was placed Oct 23, 2016
6:40:29 AM PDT, it is now Oct 25 7:49 PM PDT and it is the only one I have.
This is a huge risk for overselling on fast moving and/or low inventory products. Items should move to Committed when they are in Pending on Amazon because they are committed and can not be sold elsewhere. Its the same situation as an unpaid order on eBay.
Tessa- Sorry for the slow response. You wrote, "Ideally we would record any pending Amazon orders as soon as they are placed and then reduce your available stock prior to the order being moved to ready to ship. Was this the level of support that you required?"
My answer to that is yes. When ShippingEasy detects a Pending Amazon order, our available stock should be adjusted accordingly.
I set everything up to use ShippingEasy's inventory control back in August, but I feel very uncomfortable making the switch while this is unresolved. It's a significant threat for Amazon sellers.
I agree that this is a big issue with inventory and think this is a viable future request that needs to be resolved with both Amazon and eBay orders.
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for the confirmation. As we are about to enter the busiest shipping season our development team will be in a code freeze from mid November though to the end of the year. So, we will not be able to update our Amazon support prior to this time. We want to ensure stability in both our shipping and inventory applications during the busy holiday period.
That said, we are aware that adding support for pending Amazon orders is something that will need to be revisited in 2017. I will update this thread again once this work has been prioritized.

OK, if that is the way it must be. I'm apprehensive about this with the increased volume of orders due to the Holiday shopping, we will have to keep a close eye on it.
UPDATE: ShippingEasy retired the Inventory Management subscription in June of 2020. Our Product Catalog stores a comprehensive list of the products you sell and allows you to add your product information to leverage product and SKU details to ship more efficiently. Learn more about our Product Catalog.
Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your post. Your inventory will be adjusted in ShippingEasy whenever an order syncs into your account. ShippingEasy then consolidates all of your inventory adjustments and sends changes in your available stock back to your supported store/s every 10 minutes. As pending Amazon orders do not pull into our application until they are approved and ready to be shipped there may be a delay in your seller inventory being updated.
I understand that we may need to adjust our support for Amazon orders so that ShippingEasy is able to adjust inventory before an order sync with our application. Ideally we would record any pending Amazon orders as soon as they are placed and then reduce your available stock prior to the order being moved to ready to ship. Was this the level of support that you required?
As of now, we are still accepting all requests and feedback before making decisions on the next enhancements to make to our application. Your request is a very welcome start. We will direct any customers with similar requests to comment or follow on this post as well. Feedback helps us to learn how many customers are interested in each feature and prioritize what we should work on next.
