We are looking for a feature that allows us to search for skus with out having the full sku number. For example our skus are made up of the item number and the vendor that we buy it from. We also do multiple listings with the same item number but as different lots. So we are looking to be able to type in the item number only in the search and it bring up any or all listings with said item number.

Hi Erin,
Unfortunately right now that is not an option. However, I have added a request to our inventory queue to update our SKU search capabilities in the product catalog.
In the meantime, I will direct any customers with similar requests to comment or follow on this post as well. Feedback helps us to learn how many customers are interested in each feature and prioritize what we should work on next. I will update this thread again once this work has been prioritized.

Hi Randy,
While we are still reviewing this request it is not on our immediate roadmap. As we near the busy holiday season ShippingEasy will go into a code freeze to help ensure stability within our application. So, for this reasons I do not anticipate being able to commit to this request before the end of the year. That said, I will update this thread again as more information becomes available in 2018.

UPDATE: ShippingEasy retired the Inventory Management subscription in June of 2020. Our Product Catalog stores a comprehensive list of the products you sell and allows you to add your product information to leverage product and SKU details to ship more efficiently. Learn more about our Product Catalog.
Existing Inventory Management subscribers will still have the ability to use the features specific to Inventory Management, however, we are no longer supporting new subscribers.

Hi Erin,
Thank you for your feedback. The way that our product catalog search works today is different for the SKU and product name. When you search by SKU this is "left-anchored". So, the SKU must start-with the value you're searching in order to display result/s. When you search by the product name this is "unanchored". So, the product name only needs to contain the value you're searching in order display result/s.
It sounds like you would like the SKU search to also be "unanchored". Is that correct? Alternatively, is there another value in the product name that matches or aligns to the item number that could be used to search your products in the meantime?
